
Der Hyperdoc®-SERVER – The core of the system
The HYPERDOC® product family is a modern and mature system which can be used within networks or through the Internet. It serves to manage large and very large amounts of data of all types and sources.
The Hyperdoc® SERVER contains the database system. Each document in HYPERDOC® is linked to information regarding the document in a database. This information relates to the contents of the document and serves to provide search criteria during retrieval. This information, called index data or document attributes, is either manually assigned by the user before storage, or automatically extracted from the document through XML interpretation, COLD analysis, barcode or OCR/ICR procedures, and filed in the database system.
Communication with the Hyperdoc® SERVER, i.e. storing data and documents in one direction and searching – 'retrieving' – them in the other can be handled through various applications. A Hyperdoc® DESK standard client is available, but you can also work using the SAP GUI, a browser (Hyperdoc® WEB) or the MS Explorer. The documents can be viewed on the workstation screen, printed, and processed individually or using a workflow.
